The packaging industry requires tools with high hardness and wear resistance. The solution: BÖHLER STAINLESS SUPERHARD N713® and BÖHLER N702 (AISI 630). Developed and patented for this application by BÖHLER BLECHE.
N713 and N702 plates are cross rolled, precipitation hardened and corrosion resistant steel grades. N713 die cutting plates have the necessary hardness of 52 +/- 2 HRC to resist the millions of impressions from the cutting die. The N702 backing plates have a hardness of 48 +/- 2 HRC, optimised for this purpose.
